Holidays at the three-star Valamar Club Dubrovnik Hotel are very much a family affair. It’s located on the shore of the Babin Kuk peninsula but still close enough for easy access to the Old Town. You can relax by the spacious outdoor pool or stroll down to one of the nearby pebble beaches including the famous Cava and Copacabana beaches. Be aware that some beach areas are reserved for serious naturists!

A city tour of Dubrovnik and a walk around its city walls is an absolute must during your holiday. It’s easily reached by local bus but do come early or late as the city can get very crowded especially when there’s a cruise ship in. The views of the city from the top of the cable car are breathtaking. You’ll need your passport to visit two of Dubrovnik’s neighbours. Mostar in Bosnia has bazaars where you’ll be invited to take tea or Turkish coffee with the stall holders. En-route you should stop to cool down at the Kravce Waterfalls. Or why not travel south to the small country of Montenegro and explore Kotor and Budva?
