San Agustin is a peaceful small resort just three kilometres from its more famous neighbour, Playa del Ingles and it’s here, right on the beachfront, that you’ll find the three-star adults only Corallium Beach by Lopesan Hotels. There’s a very friendly, informal atmosphere throughout the hotel and you’ll quickly fall into a relaxing holiday routine. You’ll be just 800 metres from the resort centre and the San Augustin shopping centre is roughly a kilometre away.
There are two outdoor freshwater pools, one with a heated whirlpool area and several bars for cool drinks and snacks during the day. There’s a gym and yoga, Pilates, tennis and aqua aerobics classes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet style in the main restaurant although for a dinner change, try the international and Italian specialities at the poolside à la carte Atlantico restaurant. After dinner, there’s regular entertainment with a live DJ and live music.
Take a walk along the Paseo Costa Canaria coastal path, that passes through tropical gardens or you can discover places such as Playa de las Burras beach, the dunes of Maspalomas, Playa de Amadores beach, Roque Nublo, the harbour of Mogán, the historical town of Agüimes and the Episcopal Palace. There is a selection of water sports, such as windsurfing and jet-skiing that active types can enjoy. If you fancy a spot of retail therapy, make sure you visit the Yumbo Centre in nearby Maspalomas, which boasts more than 200 shops. In terms of memorable tourist attractions, the breathtaking Nature Canariensis Botanical Gardens are a real treat, and a great way of enjoying the magnificent landscapes of Gran Canaria. There’s also the Wild West theme park Sioux City Park, with exciting attractions, Cocodrilo zoo, and delicious barbecue food.
