It’s not only its iconic pyramid shape that makes the four-star adults-only Corallium Dunamar Hotel stand out on the beach at Playa del Inglés. If you fancy something a little more energetic, the hotel organises a range of activities including aerobics, cycling, mini golf, tennis, water skiing and windsurfing. The Food Garden at the Corallium Dunamar Hotel serves buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner or, for a change, try the Italian specialities at the à la carte Mediterraneum restaurant. Afterwards, enjoy live music at the El Ancla bar.
Being situated right on the beach you probably won’t want to stray far from the hotel but if you want to explore a little further you can take a walk along the Paseo Costa Canaria coastal path, that passes through tropical gardens or you can discover places such as Playa de las Burras beach, the dunes of Maspalomas, Playa de Amadores beach, Roque Nublo, the harbour of Mogán, the historical town of Agüimes and the Episcopal Palace. There is a selection of water sports, such as windsurfing and jet-skiing, which active types can enjoy. If you fancy a spot of retail therapy, make sure you visit the Yumbo Centre, which boasts more than 200 shops. In terms of memorable tourist attractions, the breathtaking Nature Canariensis Botanical Gardens are a real treat, and a great way of enjoying the magnificent landscapes of Gran Canaria. There’s also the Wild West theme park Sioux City Park, with exciting attractions, a zoo, and delicious barbecue food.
