The 4-star Grecotel Daphnila Bay Dassia is set on the hillside, overlooking Dassia Bay and the Ionian Sea. Surrounded by verdant gardens, it’s located on Corfu’s northeast coast and has direct access to a private Blue Flag beach. Facilities include a freshwater pool, children’s pool, a fully equipped gym and spa with a sauna, spa tub, steam room and Turkish hammam. There’s also a creperie and a patisserie for afters, as well as four specialist bars.
The Grecotel Daphnila Bay Dassia is located on a Blue Flag beach, with Dassia Beach less than three kilometres away and Barbati Beach within 10 kilometres – meaning you have seaside stretches more than covered. Dassia is populated with lush vegetation and forests, and boats set out on daily trips from this area to nearby beaches and coves. The capital is a 20-minute drive along the coast, there, you’ll find Corfu Town set between twin hills. The Old Town, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is definitely worth a visit for its winding streets packed with restaurants, bars and shops. We also recommend a visit to the pink-and-white Orthodox cathedral, the Town Hall Square and Guilford Street, framed by vines. To the west is Palaiokastritsa (50 minutes by car), meaning old fortress – this is in memory of a castle that was built on the rocky cove where the Monastery of the Virgin now stands. Often considered to be one of the most picturesque villages in Corfu, Palaiokastritsa overlooks a blue bay and is home to six sandy and pebbled beaches.
