The Ikos Dassia is fully all-inclusive hotel and covers all meals and drinks, including international branded spirits and wines, and cocktails prepared by award-winning mixologists. It also offers a 24-hour room service, a fully stocked minibar and daily childcare. The Ikos Dassia boasts a private beach, two swimming pools by the beach plus adults-only and children’s options, two tennis courts, and a luxurious spa with a heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi, hammam, and fitness studio. Free activities include yoga, canoeing, Pilates, introductory diving, windsurfing and Zumba. You can also get to grips with the local culture – they offer Greek dance lessons, Greek language lessons and Greek mythology lessons.

Bedrooms are particularly luxurious, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a choice of private balconies, individual pools and pretty gardens. The dining options are another highlight – there are seven à la carte restaurants featuring Greek, Asian and French cuisines and menus created by Michelin-starred chefs. The Ikos Dassia also has a “Dine Out” programme that gives guests the option to eat at some of the best local restaurants at no extra cost.

Located in a secluded bay and surrounded by woodland, the Ikos Dassia has impressive views of the mainland. It’s set between the villages of Gouvia and Ipsos in Dassia, a resort that’s home to plenty of tavernas and local bars. Boats also set out on day trips from this area to nearby beaches and coves. Corfu Town is a 10-minute drive away. Where you’ll find quaint, little lanes and alleyways lined with souvenirs, restaurants and lively cafes.

Head for the Old Fortress via the Spianada, cross the sea-moat and climb the battlements for impressive panoramic views of the Greek and Albanian mainland. We also recommend a visit to the pink-and-white Orthodox cathedral, the Town Hall Square and Guilford Street, framed by vines. To the west is Palaiokastritsa (20 minutes by car), meaning old fortress – this is in memory of a castle that was built on the rocky cove where the Monastery of the Virgin now stands. Often considered to be one of the most picturesque villages in Corfu, Palaiokastritsa overlooks a blue bay and is home to six sandy and pebbled beaches.
