The Princess Resort on the island of Skiathos offers elegance and comfort in wonderful surroundings. Offering direct access to Agia Paraskevi beach, among the best beaches on the island, the hotel is also surrounded by abundant greenery and gives the hotel a tranquil feel in the Mediterranean climate. This is a well-equipped hotel with sumptuously furnished rooms and excellent facilities. The hotel’s beautiful pool, overlooking the beach, provides the focal point of the resort. Sunbathing on the sandy beach is a great way to laze away the day, underneath distinctive thatched-straw sun umbrellas.

The Princess Resort is well suited to families, with kids clubs for children from six months to 12 years, an indoor playroom, outdoor adventure garden, children’s menus in all restaurants, and a wide range of interconnecting room options. There is a well-equipped fitness centre, with an excellent activity programme of group classes, as well as herb and walking hikes, swimming classes, paddleboarding and YogAqua classes – a new fitness trend that combines traditional Yoga with Stand-up Paddleboarding, in the calm and clear waters of Skiathos.

Skiathos is a thriving island in the northwest Aegean, among the Sporades archipelago, and is very popular with tourists in the summer months (it goes into virtual hibernation in the winter). Historically, the island was under Ottoman and then Venetian control. Sites of interest include the ruins of Kastro on the northwest tip of the island, once the island’s fortified capital. The historic Evangelistra Monastery, also in the northwest, was built by monks in 1704 and played a part in the Greek War of Independence by providing a hideout for rebels. Forests of Aleppo pine are prominent especially in the northern and southwestern parts of the island – and made the island an important shipbuilding centre in the nineteenth century. The Princess Resort is located in the southwest of the island and is surrounded by abundant greenery. The beaches here are among the best on the island and are the main attraction; otherwise, there is inland walking, scuba diving and boat trips around the island.
