Just a short walk from the pebble Formosa Beach, the four-star Eden Mar Suite hotel is part of the Vila Porto Mare Resort and shares many facilities with its sister hotel. A free shuttle bus service is provided to the island’s capital, Funchal, with its historic centre, shops and bars.The Eden Mar has two pools, one outdoor and one indoor set in the well-maintained gardens. You’re invited to use the luxury spa at the hotel next door which specialises in massage treatments – everything from head massages to the full body works! At the sister hotel, you’ll also find tennis courts, mini golf and much more.
Dining at the Eden Mar is always a pleasure. The Atlantida buffet restaurant serves international cuisine while the Alfama and Il Basilico specialise in Portuguese and Italian cuisine respectively.
