There are four pools including one for children and one on the rooftop which is reserved for adults only. Feeling the need to work off some holiday pounds? An air-conditioned gymnasium and a Bio spa are at your disposal along with a host of other day time activities. Children are well catered for with their own pool and a Kids Club (4-12 years). Come the evenings, you’re invited to join in the entertainment programme which offers live shows, bingo, karaoke and quiz nights.

There are so many unique restaurants to sample in Tenerife you’ll be spoilt for choice. However, you probably won’t want to stray far from the hotel as accommodation at the GF Gran Costa Adeje offers a choice of half board, full board or all inclusive. The hotel’s main restaurant, La Finca, serves buffet-style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. La Laja Restaurant offers an Ă  la carte menu. Last but not least, the pool restaurant provides Ă  la carte menu options during midday hours poolside and also serves snacks throughout the day.There are no less than four bars at the GF Gran Costa Adeje. The juice bar, La Zumeriá, specialises in smoothies and fruit drinks. The rooftop Atico Bar is open to adults only and serves a great variety of cocktails. The Hall Bar opens first thing in the morning and doubles as an entertainment venue in the evening. Lastly, the pool snack bar serves up delicious drinks and great snacks throughout the day.

There are enough beaches in the area to visit a different one each day but it would be a shame not to take an excursion or hire a car and travel around a little. As you’d expect most of the attractions centre around the sea with whale and dolphin spotting trips high up the list. One of them offers the chance to sample the world’s largest RIB boat.

There are numerous diving and windsurfing schools if you fancy a starter lesson. Travelling inland the Mount Teide National Park has some terrific views and the Barranco del Inferno is an interesting nature trail but you should book in advance as only a maximum of 300 visitors are admitted each day. You’ll never hear the last of it if you don’t take the family to the Siam Water Park which is reputed to be one of the best parks in the world and boats some truly amazing slides.
